A Snapshot of Your Day

This request is for a replacement to ensure business continuity within the EHS, Quality, and Security function at the Switchgears Jundiaí manufacturing facility. As a Senior Professional role, this position is critical for upholding and advancing the site's environmental, health, and safety standards in a complex industrial setting. To address this need, the role is structured around three core areas: proactive EHS program management, comprehensive risk assessment and incident investigation, and rigorous regulatory compliance and auditing. This focus ensures the mitigation of workplace hazards, fosters a strong safety culture, and maintains operational integrity in alignment with both Brazilian law and corporate policies. Given the emphasis on technical safety and independent project management, the ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of Brazilian EHS regulations (NRs), significant experience in a manufacturing environment, and proven abilities in risk analysis, auditing, and program implementation. A degree in Engineering or a related field, coupled with a specialization in Occupational Safety, is essential for success in this role.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • EHS Program Management & Implementation (40%): Design, administer, and enhance employee health and safety programs in line with organizational policies and regulatory requirements, while delivering EHS training to foster a proactive safety culture.
  • Project Management: Manage EHS-related projects and processes with minimal supervision, ensuring timely completion and effectiveness, while coaching junior EHS professionals on procedures and best practices.
  • Risk Assessment & Incident Management (40%): Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and job safety analyses for manufacturing processes, leading investigations into workplace incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Hazard Monitoring: Perform measurements of hazardous substances and forces, such as noise and chemical exposure, to maintain a safe working environment and analyze EHS data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Auditing (20%): Ensure compliance with Brazilian government EHS regulations and internal safety standards through regular audits and inspections, identifying non-compliance issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare, maintain, and submit all required EHS records, reports, and documentation for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Post-graduate specialization in Occupational Safety Engineering (Especialização em Engenharia de Segurança do Trabalho) is required.
  • Typically requires 5-8 years of progressive experience in an EHS function, preferably within a manufacturing or heavy industry environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects and processes independently with limited supervision.
