We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Steam Turbine Technical Sales Lead for our new build nuclear power plant initiative. This role is within our Gas Services division and will be responsible for driving business development and sales of our steam turbine solutions by providing technical expertise and guidance to new reactor OEM’s, EPC’s and Utility customers for small and large nuclear power plants in North America. You will collaborate closely with the account management team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, while also building upon relationships with existing nuclear customers.

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to promote and sell products and services related to steam turbines and generators to support small modular (SMR) and advanced reactor (AR) nuclear plants within the US and Canada.
  • Serve as the technical sales primary point of contact to provide in-depth knowledge and guidance to reactor OEM’s, Utilities, EPC’s and Architect Engineers.
  • Build relationships with new clients and work with existing customers to understand their needs, provide solutions & complex commercial constructs to meet the customer’s desired outcomes, finding the best fit for the customer.
  • Gather feedback from the market regarding project development timelines and funnel that information into the new equipment forecast.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify new opportunities and enhance our competitive position.
  • Work closely with account management teams team to develop and execute sales strategies, including product presentations, demonstrations, and technical proposals.
  • Travel to customer sites, industry events, and conferences as needed to support sales efforts and build relationships.

What You Bring (requirements)

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering required with 8+ years in previous engineering, project management, business improvement, strategy, or sales experience
  • Proven track record in technical sales, preferably within the power generation or energy industry
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with client relationship management and handling commercial negotiations
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills & demonstrated ability to work with Senior Management
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment including Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Project Management, Contracts, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, etc.
  • Understanding of steam turbine technology, design principles, and applications is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required. Up to 35% travel.
  • This is position follows a hybrid work location model, where 3 days per week will be in one of our primary office locations, and the remaining days may be worked from an alternate location
