A Snapshot of Your Day
The Site Project Engineer, through consultation effectively develops and maintains site quality documentation and specific procedures that will document and maintain the quality of work and promote continuous improvements while applying the Siemens Energy Quality Assurance (QA) standards and procedures.
How You’ll Make an Impact
• Ensure the Siemens Energy procedures for Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and Inspection and Finding reports (IFR) are followed
• Ensure the Siemens Energy (local and Center of Competence (CoC)) site supervision are completing and signing all relevant protocols, forms, Inspection and test plans throughout the Project Execution
• Provide technical project support on site for Project Manager, Site Superintendent and Site Supervisors
• Ensuring quality documentation is completed fully and correctly by Siemens Energy Supervisors during execution
• To transfer the data from the field to the master digital copy of the record sheets
• To ensure all record sheets are signed and approved by the appropriate authority when outside of nominated specifications and contain record of tooling calibration as required.
• Together with Siemens Energy technical leads, CoC and Supervisor(s), make recommendations to the customer regarding findings or non-conformances and achieve agreement with the customer’s representative about what action will be taken.
• Raise IFRs for any findings during the outage and ensure acknowledgement by the Customer is received for any rectification works before they are performed
• Ensure that the corrective actions have ITPs (as required) and that work aligns with required standards
• Supervise off site work in regards to machining, QA documentation etc.
• Ensure all Change Orders and Variations have ITPs (if required).
• Ensure all ITP’s and record sheets are signed off prior to any commissioning works
• Assisting in the preparation of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) – ensuring all contractual scope items and OEM standard requirements are followed
• Ensure the ITP reflects all drawings, protocols and record sheets required for the workscope and that all are available before the project begins
• Ensure an Inspection and Test Plan exists for all activities, both base scope and any variation works, if required on site
• The preparation, release and implementation of the project Quality Plan in accordance with the Siemens Energy guidelines and procedures and the contractual requirements.
• Assist in the continuous improvement of Site processes and procedures digitalisation initiatives
What You Bring
• Degree Qualifications in Engineering or Trade Certificate Qualifications with significant experience
• Outstanding Customer service and relationship skills
• Ability to work without supervision
• Attention to detail and excellence in the area of processes and document control
