If you are an experienced cybersecurity expert who is passionate about driving change and never wants one day to be like another, then this role is made for you. You will play a key role in designing and developing our products and solutions with the highest level of cybersecurity to make ships around the world even safer. How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Activity primarily in the architecture and design phase of products, systems and solutions
  • Independent development of concepts to solve complex customer requirements and creation of project specifications including necessary agreements with suppliers and customers
  • Driving the topic of IT/OT Security within the group together with the team, reviewing new specifications from classification societies and identifying new solutions / topic areas 
  • Communicating requirements, measures and advanced protection concepts of OT and IT security (e.g. based on IEC 62443) in an innovative working environment, current development projects and to our customers
  • Dealing with different automation systems and software applications on board of ships (propulsion, energy management & control level) to secure integration of own or third party components and customer specific security mechanisms. Furthermore, security topics such as intrusion detection systems, security patch management or anti-virus systems have to be considered
  • Design and implementation of simulation and training systems for the ships and boats used for FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) as well as for training facilities at our customers
  • Appropriately synchronize with the Information Security organization to ensure that the IT infrastructure for development, manufacturing, and integration is sufficiently secure (e.g., to ensure confidentiality, integrity, or availability of source code, binaries, and configuration)
  • Plan and execute functional tests, optimizations through to acceptances and handovers to customers through (internal testing, factory, harbor and sea-acceptance testing)
  • Responsibility for various cybersecurity topics, including preparing, drafting and updating documentation
  • Analyze customer request for proposal, perform requirement engineering, participate in technical issues related to proposal preparation

What You Bring

  • Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology or several years of professional experience in the development and/or commissioning of IoT projects
  • Several years of software experience including design of required hardware for environments such as IT infrastructures, specifically networks, client/server, mail, database, and application servers
  • Incident response, computer forensics, eDiscovery, ethical hacking, penetration testing or intrusion detection are not foreign words to you
  • Structured and goal-oriented approach including experience of lean and agile approaches to project delivery
  • Willingness to travel worldwide as part of the job (e.g.: Customer meetings, commissioning, sea travel or sales support)
  • High level of initiative, communication skills, motivation and enthusiasm for IT/OT Security
  • Willingness to also work on military projects
  • Business fluent in German and English
