A Snapshot of Your Day 
Working as part of a distributed team, collaborating with colleagues in Germany, India and France, you will design and specify Unit Control Systems, Instrumentation, and Low Voltage Wiring systems which compliment Rotating Machinery used in Industrial Applications - namely compression, power generation and Oil-Gas. Creating design drawings including control panel layout, I/O termination, control panel power distribution, instrumentation installation, motor control schematics, hardwired backup control circuits, single line diagrams.
How You’ll Make an Impact
  • This role is responsible for control system scope of a rotating equipment project together with other project members and content provider, mainly System Engineering
  • Design Unit Control Systems, Instrumentation, and Low Voltage Wiring to support Industrial Rotating Machinery in applications like compression and Oil-Gas. Create design drawings, including P&I diagrams, instrument lists, control logics, control panel layout, I/O termination, power distribution, instrumentation installation, and motor control schematics. Conduct Unit Control panel factory acceptance tests (FAT)
  • Specify and calculate control valves
  • Incorporates Siemens Energy design standards and guidelines and adapts the assigned scope to meet project-specific requirements, due to Customer Specifications and follows international standard requirements
  • Monitors and manages the engineering schedule and hours-budget for the assigned scope, including timely release of results
  • Conducts timely design reviews on the assigned scope and contributes to project design reviews
  • Support detail engineering in cooperation with internal and external Customers
  • Innovate, creatively apply lessons learned, and implement cost-effective solutions for COMOS PT development, requirements management, that prevent non-conformances during project execution
What You Bring
  • University degree in a related field (instrumentation/controls/electrical)
  • 3 years of experience in Rotating Equipment for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other Process Industry applications, achieved through working on Industrial Applications Products in Controls and Instrumentation Engineering and Design 
  • Experience in Electrical Equipment Engineering shall be considered
  • Application experience with objects oriented Engineering Software e.g., COMOS PT
  • Knowledge and use of software: Teamcenter, SAP, Jira, Microsoft office (will be an added advantage)
  • Know-how of standards: API 670 (Machinery Protection System), IEC 60079 (Explosive Atmosphere Standards), IEC 61511: Functional safety - Safety instrumented systems for the process industry sector
  • Good analytical & cross-cultural skills
  • Fluent English, German language preferred
