A Snapshot of Your Day
In this role you will lead the Media Relations and Thought Leadership activities for Siemens Energy across the Middle East and Africa Hub. While providing state-of-the-art and best-in-class “classic” media relations, you will actively support the transition of the press office at the edge of the digital age. We shape and safeguard the reputation of Siemens Energy as a global technology leader and responsible corporate citizen
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Collaborate with the Head of Middle East and Africa Communications and the Global Head of Media Relations to define and implement the media relations and thought leadership strategy for Siemens Energy in the Middle East and Africa.
- Develop and execute an internal and external influencer management strategy, creating a robust network and roadmap for the region.
- Serve as the primary media spokesperson, representing Siemens Energy to external audiences.
- Craft and execute a comprehensive 360° PR strategy that highlights Siemens Energy's business and technological advancements. Contribute to the digital transformation of the Communications function with innovative and creative approaches.
- Create and disseminate compelling stories across all external channels, maintaining a holistic view of current topics within the company. Regularly report and analyze news performance.
- Plan and coordinate proactive communication initiatives such as press conferences, workshops, and trips, while monitoring and engaging with Social Media activities related to Siemens Energy.
- Collaborate closely with other departments, including Strategic Messaging, Story Cockpit, Employee Engagement, and Business Area Communications, to ensure cohesive communication efforts.
- Manage and nurture existing relationships with external partners and influencers, while also establishing new, sustainable connections.
- Position key spokespeople and executives at various online and offline events, crafting speeches and developing comprehensive briefing materials.
- Lead a Media Relations team across the region, fostering a high-performing, empowered, and accountable organizational culture.
What You Bring
- A university degree in journalism, public relations, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in public relations or journalism.
- A solid understanding of contemporary public relations practices and the evolving global media landscape, with the ability to drive innovative ideas.
- A passion for mastering the latest platforms, experimenting with new storytelling and content-creation tools, and applying social media techniques to enhance engagement and generate buzz.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
- An outstanding team player who is proactive, takes initiative, and is results oriented
