As Senior Engineer - Compressor Package & Installation Design you will be responsible within a global project team for the package and installation design of the entire compressor train consisting of driver, compressor and auxiliary systems. The scope of duties also includes the handling of components and systems within the compressor train, such as base plate and piping.

The position offers many interfaces and varied and exciting challenges, as our product solutions are tailored to customer needs, and you will be working on new technologies and applications as part of the energy transition and decarbonization

How You’ll Make an Impact

• B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with experience of minimum of 10 years in the relevant area
• Hands on experience with CAD Tools like NX in Turbo machines (Centrifugal Compressors/Gas Turbines/Steam Turbines) and preferably in Oil & Gas Domain
• Hand on experience with PLM tools like Teamcenter
• Thorough knowledge of GD&T, Drafting Standards and Welding Standards
• Working Knowledge of Modeling and Detailing of Turbomachinery Packages
• Working Knowledge of GA, P&ID, Base plate, and Auxiliary Systems and Piping
• Ability to make technical decisions, improvise, and problem solving.
• Experience of working on different projects with attention to details, within budgets, and deadlines
• Working knowledge of auxiliary systems such as lube oil system and gas seal systems
• Knowledge of relevant international standards and codes for the oil & gas industry such as API, ASME and ASTM
• A systematic and structured way of working as well as initiative and an ownership mentality

What You Bring

• Design, 3-D Modeling and Drawing of components / assemblies related to packaging of Centrifugal Compressors as per specifications
• Design of base plate, coupling guard, compressor maintenance tools
• Create fabrication drawings & pipe isometrics, piping layout drawings.
• Maintain drawing revision control
• Follow Siemens Energy global engineering standards and drafting practices
• Complete engineering design projects
• Effective utilization of available tools & resources
• Recording and tracking of time applied for various projects
