As a Supplier Quality Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will be an integral part of our mission to ensure fulfillment of requirements to our suppliers. Supporting our multi-functional commodity and operational procurement teams by conducting qualifications, audits & assessments and developing our global suppliers is integral part of your daily contribution to implement the supply strategy. You will be working and close networking with multi-cultural environment with different departments locally and globally. SQE is addressing nonconformance with conducting containment, RCA, and implementing preventative measures & risk mitigation measures.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Supplier Qualification: Support a multi-functional team by assessing supplier capabilities, auditing supplier quality management system & processes, etc.
  • Perform source / virtual / desk inspection of suppliers of components, systems and of responsibility.
  • Coordinate nonconformance processing at the supplier and ensure appropriate actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor supplier Key Performance Indicators and adjust quality, inspection, and development planning activities accordingly.
  • Facilitate recurring supplier qualification & development status meetings. Ensure qualifications are on track and potentials risks are identified.
  • Work with various Supplier Quality & Development tools and databases. Ensure data quality and transparency.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in electrical engineering, or a similar field. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • Technical experience with industrial process technology in energy generation
  • Knowledge in electrical components such as Switchgear, E-house, Transformer, PCC, GCB, IPB, Motor, EDG, Cubicle, Inverter, Converter, Cable, Conductor, or etc.
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis and other quality & risk management methodologies
  • 7+ years’ experience in the technical field and/or working in Supply Chain
  • Preferably experience as Auditor in acc. to ISO9001 and / or VDA6.3, or as nominated IMS supplier auditor (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001). Project Management Experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel including oversea~50%
