Strategic Innovation Manager 

Location: Tel Aviv 

Mission:
Organization, coordination, steering and control of all innovation related activities in Israel.
Cooperate across organizational boundaries with internal and external partners and clients to help define innovation strategy for Israel and co-create synergies, accelerate development, launch new business, prepare for hand-over to the businesses, and develop virtual team members to work effectively in an agile matrix set up.
Main objectives:
1. Drive innovation activities in Israel mainly in AI, Robotics and Materials workstreams in order to support energy transformation -
 - Define strategy (set of concrete actions) to be implemented so that the SE businesses can  
   develop leadership in the industry
 - Identifying what needs to be focus on based on the innovation centers, fields of action and 
   ventures requirements. the eco-system manager has to be the "one-stop shop" for  
   everything related to innovation in Israel.
2. Enable New Business / Market Opportunities -  
 - Leverage SE creativity & inter-connectivity to bring forward new ideas for SE’s future  
   sustainability. 
 - Identify industrial and academic partners and actively manage these relationships
3. Develop & Motivate People - 
 - Embody & role-model open SE culture and values to the broader community
   Enable the personal development and growth of the team members and Innovation    
   community (R&D as a key path for own success)

Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Identify and define required technology/R&D projects / collaboration / M&A within field of action according to SE strategy and defined fields of action strategy (FoA)
- Openly collaborate in a matrix with main stakeholders (i. e. innovation strategy head, FoA leads, innovation center heads, ventures and stakeholders in the business areas and regions)
- Initiate co-creation and collaborations with internal and external partners and customers.
- Breakdown SE strategy to SE level (and BA) technology roadmaps
- Drive creation & execution of technology roadmaps and projects
- Identify and realize cross-BA synergies
- Drive efforts in internal and external partnerships to capture external funding opportunities
- Identify, strengthen and manage relationships with external partners, universities, small businesses.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, business management or other comparable degree (MBA is a plus)
- Minimum 10 years of related business work experience in R&D/Engineering/ business development
- Minimum 5-10 years proven experience with the Israeli innovation ecosystem 
- Profound technology knowledge of trends and related business portfolio at least in one of the workstreams AI/Robotics/Materials  
- Experienced in leading cross-divisional matrix teams
- Excellent team player to support and serve the global team
- High flexibility in taking new tasks/responsibilities
- Proactive and solution oriented. Ability to pull inputs, to influence and to interact with interface partners of any level in the organization.
- Additionally, you convince with experience in working on international and interdisciplinary projects, experience in project management is pre-requisite.
- As you act in an international environment, you have excellent writing and communication skills in English 
- You are willing to work in a global, flexible team with focus on topics and not hierarchies and you are a self-starter with strong analytical skills.
