A Snapshot of Your Day
Join Siemens Gamesa as a Service Technician for SG5X in Finland and take ownership of keeping wind turbines running safely and efficiently every day. You handle daily operations, performing hands-on service, maintenance, and troubleshooting on turbines at sites like Sandbacka wind farm. Based in Oravais, you work with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems to resolve issues and ensure high availability. You actively contribute to EHS activities, making sure all work meets safety standards, while maintaining clear and structured reporting of your tasks. In this role, you play a direct part in enabling reliable renewable energy production.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and daily service operations on wind turbines at Sandbacka and nearby sites
- You ensure all work is carried out according to EHS standards and Finnish electrical regulations (SFS‑6002), keeping safety at the core of everything you do
- You support customers both on-site and remotely, resolving technical issues and implementing improvements and modifications
- You ensure planned and annual maintenance activities are completed on time, efficiently, and with accurate, structured reporting and documentation
- You collaborate closely with colleagues and subcontractors, contributing to strong teamwork, while continuously developing your skills through training programs
What You Bring
- Experience working in wind farms and formal electrical/mechanical training is required.
- A high school education with a technical focus on electricity is advantageous. Education or experience in hydraulics or mechanics is also considered a plus.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Finnish is an advantage
- Comfort working at significant heights.
- Good computer skills and familiarity with digital systems.
- A valid driving license (Category B) is required, as travel to sites is part of the role.

About the Team
You will be part of a service team based in Oravais, Finland. The team is responsible for ensuring that turbines operate safely, reliably, and efficiently on a daily basis. Collaboration is a key part of the role, both within Siemens Gamesa and with external subcontractors. The work combines hands-on technical tasks with structured processes such as maintenance planning and reporting. Safety is always a top priority, and the team actively supports EHS initiatives in all activities. You will also take part in structured training programs to build your technical expertise. Together, the team contributes to maintaining and developing renewable energy production in the region.
