This position is based at the Badgingarra Wind Farm, located in Western Australia. The successful candidate must reside in the local area no further than 1 hours drive from the site.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Access wind turbine towers to perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs during both scheduled and unscheduled service intervals.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in systems such as variable pitch, variable speed control, and converters.
- Inspect tower exteriors to ensure structural integrity and maintain accurate service and repair documentation.
- Handle toolkits and spare parts inventory to support efficient installations, repairs, and replacements.
- Uphold SGRE safety procedures, working independently or in small teams with strong communication and a proactive mentality.
- Be flexible for on-call shifts and adaptable to working conditions based on high- and low-wind days, with proven electrical and mechanical skills.
What You Bring
- Hold an electrical trade qualification registered in Western Australia.
- Be experienced in preparing and using Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
- Possess a current unrestricted Australian driver’s license and be comfortable working at heights.
- Ideally have previous experience in the wind industry or on large-scale industrial electrical projects.
- A current GWO (Global Wind Organisation) certificate is highly desirable.
- Demonstrate a strong dedication to safety, technical quality, and working optimally in dynamic environments.
About the Team
Collaborating with the Site Lead Badgingarra Wind Farm, your duties as a Service Technician will see you play a pivotal role in undertaking scheduled and unscheduled service and maintenance of wind turbines and associated equipment, to ensure ongoing high availability of the wind farm for our client.
