A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Project Manager, you will design, develop, and lead customer solution projects, ensuring adherence to defined Project Management (PM) standards and customer requirements. You will hold end-to-end responsibility for economic results, quality, schedule, and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards. Additionally, you will manage and develop the Competence Center, fostering expertise and innovation in hydrogen technology.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Project Management Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of project results including budget, financial management of risks, opportunities, claims, scheduling, and EHS.
- Support and lead the project team by delegating tasks, promoting professional development, and fostering an entrepreneurial culture committed to safety and compliance standards.
- Oversee projects from inception to final acceptance (FAC), ensuring all planning elements, milestones, technical Systems, documentation, testing, and handover are executed to meet budgetary and timeline standards.
- Act as a consultative advisor on customer requirements, manage expectations, and lead communication on all project milestones. Provide technical Systems in collaboration with the sales team.
- Collaborate with business partners to develop strategic target agreements and represent the project portfolio on relevant boards.
- Manage full project finance targets and results, including proposal costs, controlling, and regulatory requirements, minimizing non-conformance costs and risks.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with partners through effective communication and problem-solving.
- Negotiate contracts, change requests, and design packages with collaborator engagement.
- Assess and manage risks and claims, leading mitigation efforts for projects in the category C portfolio.
Head of Competence Center Responsibilities:
- Lead the Competence Center, dedicating 25-30% of your time to fostering expertise in hydrogen technology.
- Promote innovation and best practices within the Competence Center to support the hydrogen organization’s strategic goals.
- Build and maintain a network of internal and external experts, ensuring continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Organize and lead training programs to develop the skills and knowledge of team members and partners.
What You Bring
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a relevant field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 10+ years in technical engineering and project management roles on mid to large-scale projects, with a proven track record of managing full scope project outcomes.
- Experience in leading and developing project teams, including project managers and engineers.
- Extensive understanding of commercial and contract terms relevant to mid and large-scale projects, with proficiency in negotiations.
- Specialized knowledge in risk mitigation and management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Willingness to enter the PM3 Core Learning Program to acquire PM@Siemens certification.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in Romania without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
