A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Mendix Technical Lead, you will drive the design and development of scalable low-code applications using the Mendix platform while leading a team of developers in an Agile environment. Your day will involve collaborating with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, guiding development teams on best practices, and ensuring high-quality delivery across the application lifecycle. You will play a key role in mentoring developers, shaping architecture decisions, and ensuring that Mendix applications meet enterprise standards for performance, scalability, and security.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers on Mendix best practices, coding standards, and platform capabilities.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications and user stories.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end application development lifecycle using Agile/Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and progress tracking.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to governance, security, and quality standards.
  • Own the complete lifecycle of Mendix applications in collaboration with the development team.
  • Oversee testing and quality assurance activities to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
  • Manage user support, bug fixing, and change management, including communication with users and customers.
  • Participate in and lead business meetings, client interactions, feedback sessions, and design thinking workshops.

What You Bring

  • 7–9 years of overall software development experience, including strong hands-on expertise in the Mendix low-code platform.
  • Proven experience leading development teams or projects in an Agile environment.
  • Mendix Advanced Certified Developer certification (mandatory).
  • Strong expertise in Mendix domain modeling, forms, and complex microflow logic.
  • Experience in building and consuming app services within Mendix applications.
  • Hands-on experience with frontend technologies including JavaScript, XPath, CSS, and HTML.
  • Experience in writing Java actions and integrating web services in Mendix.
  • Solid understanding of SQL, Model-Driven Development, and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Mendix Native Mobile development is a plus.
  • Familiarity with modern architecture styles, REST APIs, and microservices is advantageous.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Organized and structured problem-solving approach with strong decision-making skills.
