A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Mechanical Engineering Graduate within Siemens Energy Lincoln, you will work across a diverse range of engineering projects, supporting the design, analysis and development of complex energy systems. You will collaborate with experienced engineers across multiple disciplines, gaining hands-on exposure to real product challenges while contributing to meaningful engineering solutions.

Your day may involve performing engineering calculations, supporting product design updates, participating in validation activities, and working closely with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure robust product delivery.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and implement mechanical design solutions for complex energy systems.
  • Conduct engineering analyses, simulations and calculations to optimise product performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams during production.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and engineering processes.
  • Contribute to innovation projects supporting the transition to more sustainable energy solutions.

What You Bring

  • Currently studying towards, or recently graduated with, a Mechanical Engineering degree (2:2 or above).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • A keen interest in sustainable energy and innovative engineering technologies.
  •  proactive approach to learning and professional development.

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.

At Siemens Energy Lincoln, you will join a diverse and talented engineering team focused on delivering innovative solutions for the Small Gas Turbine portfolio. The team works collaboratively across engineering, manufacturing, and service functions to drive continuous improvement and technical excellence.
