A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Junior Credit Risk Analyst, you will be part of a global governance team, supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of customer credit risk practices worldwide. You will work alongside experienced analysts, gaining hands-on experience in financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and reporting, while learning how our rating models and processes operate in a multinational environment.

Your role will focus on data analysis, supporting customer credit assessments, assisting in credit policy implementation, and preparing credit-related reports.

How You’ll Make a difference

1. Customer Credit Risk Support & Analysis

  • Assist in customer credit risk assessments and basic financial analysis.
  • Support the evaluation of customer financial statements, credit histories, and industry trends for risk assessment purposes.
  • Help in maintaining and updating credit limits in alignment with established procedures.
  • Flag anomalies identified in automated rating models to senior team members for further review.

2. Credit Risk Modelling

  • Contribute to data collection, preparation, and testing activities for credit rating and limit models.
  • Collaborate with the Global Governance Team to support the implementation and maintenance of risk models.
  • Ensure tasks align with the company’s credit management policy frameworks.

3. Customer & Team Collaboration

  • Support regional teams and business units by responding to credit-related inquiries.
  • Assist in coordinating with external service providers for timely and accurate delivery of credit reports.
  • Act as a point of contact for operational data flow within the credit risk function.

4. Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor external credit rating changes and negative credit events across the existing customer base.
  • Prepare standard reports on customer credit exposures and trends.
  • Maintain and update credit risk databases while ensuring data accuracy and compliance.

What You Bring

Education & Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (Master in Business Analytics or similar is a plus).
  • Prior exposure to the financial sector, through at least one year of work experience or an internship, is an advantage.
  • Strong interest and eagerness to develop expertise in credit analysis and risk management.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong understanding of financial statements and key financial ratios.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g., SQL, SAP ERP, Tableau, Power BI, Python) will be valued
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical thinking and willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset in a multinational environment.

Languages

  • Proficiency in English required; other languages (German, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.) are an advantage.

About the Team

The Customer Credit Risk Intelligence team is a global governance function within Treasury & Corporate Finance. This team plays a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing customer-specific credit risk practices across the organization worldwide. The Customer Credit Intelligence & Analytics Lead will report directly to the Head of Customer Credit Risk Intelligence and will be one of the key governance managers responsible for driving consistency, compliance, and strategic alignment in customer credit-related processes across all regions.
