A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our dynamic Health and Wellbeing (HWB) team as the HWB Lead, where you will provide essential support to all employees regarding their personal health and wellbeing, encompassing both physical and mental health, as well as statutory occupational health obligations. In this pivotal role, you will develop future Wellbeing Strategies and act as a lead for both the Mental Health First Aiders (MHFA) and the
Wellbeing Champions. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring that Occupational Health duties are effectively managed. With involvement across all our operating project and office locations, travel across the UK is essential.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop and implement future Wellbeing Strategies that enhance employee health and wellbeing.
- Act as a lead and support (and trainer where applicable) to the Mental Health First Aiders and Wellbeing Champions, arranging regular meetings and touchpoints.
- Coordinate Occupational Health activities, including OH surveillance and individual risk assessments, to ensure compliance.
- Conduct regular reviews of Occupational Health activities and liaise with the Siemens Energy UK Head of HWB to implement governance procedures and share best practices.
- Collaborate with Customer Wellbeing Leads to meet common goals and share effective practices.
- Ensure MHFA are trained, including refresher courses, and complete the 3-yearly Wellbeing Accreditation.
- Organize HWB Away Days and coordinate the activities of the Siemens Energy Wellbeing Committee.
- Visit sites and offices regularly to ensure wellbeing is adequately considered and managed.
What You Bring
- Experience in implementing and developing HWB campaigns.
- Trained as a Mental Health First Aider (MHFA).
- Understanding of UK Occupational Health legislative requirements.
- Awareness of HSE Stress Management Standards.
- A full driving license is required.
- A NEBOSH certificate in Occupational Health or equivalent is advantageous.
- Experience dealing with third parties or external bodies is desirable.
About the Team
The high-performing EHS Team in the UK consists of EHS Managers and EHS Leads who support the Project Entity (PE) and the Grid Technology & Grid Services (GTGS) businesses. Within this team, there is a wide portfolio of prestigious projects, including substations, HVDC interconnectors, wind farm connections, Grid Access, Flexible AC Transmission Systems, and synchronous condensers. The EHS Team also collaborates closely with colleagues in the Environment and Quality Teams.
