As a Field Service Engineer, you will represent Siemens Energy at client sites worldwide, performing installation, maintenance, inspections, repairs, and system upgrades to ensure reliable and efficient operations. You will act as a trusted partner to our clients by delivering professional support, fostering long-term relationships, and driving operational excellence.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Represent Siemens Energy as a Field Service Engineer by performing installation, service/maintenance, and system upgrades on delivered equipment to clients worldwide, ensuring operational excellence and reliability.
- Optimize client support to foster loyalty and position Siemens Energy as a trusted, professional, and dependable service partner within the industry.
- Conduct inspections, repairs, and commissioning of equipment in compliance with procedures and regulations, while providing valuable feedback on operational situations to improve product performance.
- Assist other departments during low activity periods and contribute to manufacturing, tooling and testing, supporting the organization holistically.
- Prioritize HSE by implementing and adhering to corporate safety programs, site-specific regulations, and applicable laws to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain thorough service reports, update drawings and documentation, and report changes made in the field to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
What You Bring
- A strong educational background in engineering, mechanics, or electronics, with 1-3 years of experience (ideal: 3-5 years and a Master’s degree) and familiarity with reporting tools and general IT systems.
- The ability to navigate complex and demanding situations on-site, often with limited access to resources, while meeting client expectations in diverse global conditions.
- Willingness to travel globally (150+ days per year), work in challenging environments, and adapt to varying conditions while maintaining professionalism and reliability.
- Demonstrated physical fitness and the ability to pass medical checks for work in offshore environments, ensuring readiness for physically demanding tasks.
- A clean background check and adherence to high standards of confidentiality, ensuring trust and integrity in client relationships and organizational responsibilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues worldwide, contributing to a positive and professional service experience.
About the Team
The Siemens Energy Field Service team in Croatia are actively engaged in work globally, both onshore and offshore. Working with a broad team of Project Managers, Technical Support, Engineering, supporting you building, testing, overhauling and upgrading rotating equipment globally on Gas Turbines, Compressors, Generators and other relevant equipment to produce Energy. The primary focus areas include small gas turbines (SGT-50), compressors (Datum series), and Integrated Powertrain Solutions (IPS), specifically centered on aero-derivative gas turbines previously delivered by Dresser-Rand, now part of Siemens Energy.
