A Snapshot of Your Day
In order to build the future of the green hydrogen industry, you prepare bids together with the Technical Sales and Bid Management Team in close interaction and with regional entities as per client/tender requirements and negotiate contracts until successful signature.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop budgetary and firm bids in close collaboration with the Authorized Bid Project Manager and the bidding team
- Analyze tender requirements as well as identify, handle, and mitigate risks in the commercial areas (currency risks, financial security instruments, terms of payment, insurance, export control & customs, compliance)
- Consider customers' and tax requirements in bid structuring, guide regional colleagues in the onshore parts, and build transparent wall-to-wall calculations
- Manage financial results according to set targets and optimize gross profit, cash flow, and assets in your bids
- Negotiate commercial terms and conditions as well as consortium contracts in coordination with relevant departments (Legal, insurance, guarantee, financing, VAT, customs, etc.)
- Prepare country and regional strategies for our hydrogen activities with regional head
What You Bring
- Degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or equivalent professional experience
- Long-term experience in commercial bid and sales management, ideally in complex projects, within the construction, engineering, energy generation, transmission industry or similar
- Proven experience in bid preparation (incl. calculation), contract negotiation, taxes and NCM (cross-border activities, transfer pricing), financing, accounting and reporting principles as well as claim and risk management
- Understanding of Financial Controlling and Management Accounting (IFRS) as well as experience in reporting systems/environments and financial digitalization knowledge (preferably SAP, Tableau and Alteryx)
- Cross-functional and cross-organizational approach, ability to connect with people at all levels and integrate different perspectives, comfortable working with a virtual international organization, open to new ways of thinking and working.
- High degree of curiosity, resilience and motivation to work in a dynamic business environment as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and German and ability to present your results to management
About the Team
In our Business Unit Sustainable Energy Systems (SES), we are enabling the green hydrogen economy and decarbonization productions to lead the transition towards a decarbonized world with power-to-X and electrolysis systems. The SES team at Siemens Energy is looking for an expert commercial professional to be responsible for the financial and commercial aspects of creating Hydrogen Solutions and Power-to-X bids (supply and solutions).
