A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Buyer at Siemens Energy, you will play a pivotal role in managing procurement activities across projects. Your responsibilities will span from supplier engagement and negotiations to ensuring compliance with procurement processes and supporting cross-functional collaboration. You will be expected to contribute to digitalization efforts and process optimization to enhance operational efficiency. 

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with project and corporate goals, including pooling, master contracts, and eAuctions. Lead the procure-to-pay (P2P) process, ensuring adherence to Siemens Energy procurement guidelines and reporting standards. 
  • Conduct supplier negotiations independently or in coordination with the Project Procurement Manager to achieve cost savings based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). 
  • Manage supplier relationships, including regular meetings, performance tracking, and issue resolution. 
  • Oversee change order management, purchase order (PO) maintenance, and invoice/payment issue resolution. 
  • Support claim negotiations and coordinate domestic/international shipments, including customs documentation. 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Manufacturing to ensure procurement alignment with project needs. 

What You Bring  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field ; or equivalent experience. 
  • Experience in procurement, ideally in an engineered-to-order environment. 
  • Proficiency in SAP MM and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Solid understanding of contractual purchasing terms and their practical application. 
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels. 
  • English - intermediate proficiency 

About the Team 

Our team of 10+ people is responsible for the Global Procurement of Compressors Skids/Packaging materials. We maintain close relationships with our suppliers, issue RfQs and Purchase Orders, ensure we are meeting our Procurement KPIs and work closely with the Project Procurement Management and Engineering to deliver New Unit Packages to our customers. We are looking for an experienced procurement professional with knowledge of local Brazil market to join our global team.
