A Snapshot of Your Day 

Become part of our motivated and multidisciplinary team for the development of industrial steam turbine blading. With global product responsibility in the industrial steam turbine network, our team is based at the Görlitz and Mülheim an der Ruhr locations.
You will work on the design and optimization of high-, medium- and low-pressure steam turbine blades. Design the roadmap for the further development of blading and the necessary technologies with us. The large number of interfaces to other areas such as purchasing, production, assembly, order processing, offers and sales give you exciting insights into our company.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Expertise in the development of industrial steam turbines, focusing on low pressure blading and the utilization of new materials such as composites to enhance efficiency, robustness, lifetime, and operational flexibility
  • Leadership in technology development of composite blades with an emphasis on robust design and innovative manufacturing technologies
  • Responsibility for ensuring mechanical integrity of composite blades and evaluating service life under flexible operating conditions
  • Support in the development of design rules for blade development and order processing
  • Involvement in research and development projects in collaboration with external institutions and Siemens Energy’s international engineering network


What You Bring
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in lightweight design, particularly with composite materials, including deformation and damage behavior, failure mechanisms, protection systems, and design criteria
  • Extensive technological knowledge in the identification of suitable materials, design optimization, manufacturing processes, and testing of composite components such as blading
  • University degree or equivalent experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in common FEM programs
  • Proficiency in German and English with a strong inclination for teamwork and open communication
