A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)
As a Commodity Manager you will be responsible for leading and coordinating supplier relationships and to develop strategies for your respective commodity within the designated external buy and internal make supply chain! Build and manage supplier contracts to achieve Siemens Energy Business requirements related to Supplier’s performance and adherence to the contract!
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
- Development and execution of assigned commodity strategy, requiring the candidate to manage global and local requirements with the responsible partners
- Leading supplier relationships to ensure that internal and external suppliers fulfill their obligations as detailed through the terms and conditions of the contract
- Negotiating global supplier contracts on behalf of Siemens Energy requiring global alignment with other commodity managers representing other sites of Siemens Energy
- Working with cross-functions to develop and implement projects to meet cost reduction or supplier development targets including responsibility for budget planning and adherence
- Setting up all ERP information specific to the supplier in order to ensure and maintain compliance to system requirements and effective operational requirements
What You Bring (requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, supply chain, commerce or relevant field
- 3+ of experience in Supply Chain Management with exposure to manufacturing is required
- Effective interpersonal skills in English both written and spoken
- Knowledge in SAP and Microsoft Office
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
