A Snapshot of Your Day 

Join us as a Commodity Manager (f/m/d) and take the lead in strategic procurement for Machined Parts for Large Generators. You will develop and align a resilient Ecosystem strategy in collaboration with commodity circles, ensuring it aligns with Siemens Energy’s global strategy and business objectives for Large Gas Turbines and Steam Turbines. By implementing a global Ecosystem strategy, you will support our business targets of Growth, Resilience, and Cost Out. Your expertise in supply market knowledge will go beyond procurement perspectives, generating significant value and impact.


How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Provide vision, strategy, and functional leadership to a global commodity team, embodying ownership, innovation, and transformation aligned with Siemens Energy’s values.
  • Lead and develop your team in commodity management, contract negotiations, supplier relationship management, and strategy implementation, while negotiating global frame contracts and price lists.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Procurement leadership and key customers to enhance commodity structure and organization, sharing valuable supplier market intelligence across Siemens Energy.
  • Develop and implement forward-looking commodity ecosystem strategies that align with business needs, leveraging enhanced Commodity Circle networks to drive value creation.
  • Manage relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure alignment with company demands, facilitating early supplier involvement and driving cost-out initiatives.
  • Identify procurement risks and opportunities through supplier market analysis and scouting, integrating findings into ecosystem strategies for continuous improvement of managed spend.

What You Bring
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field, along with extensive experience in procurement, ideally within a global organization.
  • Strong commercial and technical understanding of procurement, project management, and international contract law.
  • Proven experience in functional leadership and project management.
  • Long-term experience in a multinational Procurement/Supply Chain function.
  • Exceptional negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in both English and German.

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, 
modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
