A security operations Cyber Engineer is responsible for carrying out cybersecurity assessments, reviews, consultation, and recommendations of cybersecurity standards with focus on NERC-CIP requirements. This role also requires maintaining knowledge and updating documentation as NERC updates the standards in addition to understanding SEI Cyber portfolio.
- Support projects with secure design and engineering guidance to ensure secure and compliant systems for security services
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver excellent customer experience
- Use, manage, and maintain OT/ICS SIEM including data collection, data normalization, visualization, and detection
- Provide technical analysis and guidance on control systems security trends
- Assist Procurement on hardware/license requirements needed to support Cyber portfolio
- Documentation and white papers on NERC CIP standards and their impact on Siemens DCS and cyber solutions
- Configure, test, and support cyber solutions for control system in a Factory setting and onsite as needed
- Back Office security evaluations, including generating reports to deliver to Customer

- As a member of the Digitalization Engineering team, you'll contribute to customer initiatives that facilitate the secure and resilient operation of critical infrastructure.
- Your expertise in managing and servicing customer projects will enhance our ability to respond effectively to cybersecurity events and requirements.
- Your experience in industrial cybersecurity technologies will ensure we not only meet but exceed regulatory requirements for our customer's critical infrastructure.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber security, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years industry experience. Holds special knowledge and experience in cybersecurity-related technologies or processes. Deep knowledge of cybersecurity practices, especially in OT/ICS environments, equipped with relevant cybersecurity certifications.
- Familiar with regulatory standards and frameworks like NERC CIP and IEC 62443. Eagerness to drive the continuous improvement of internal documentation and processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including customer-facing presentations! A collaborative spirit with the ability to work effectively with teams across different disciplines, locations, and technical ability.
- Familiarity with security event collection, aggregation, parsing, and detection methodologies. Understanding of networking topics including switching, routing, access control, and secure communications.
- Travel (potential for both international and domestic) up to 25%.
