A snapshot of your day
As a Warranty Project Manager you are responsible during the warranty phase for large scale customer projects, or defined tasks/scope within the projects, according to the defined Project Excellence Guide standards, customer requirements, and the applicable Financial Reporting Guidelines.
Project scopes can comprise engineered solutions with equipment supply obligations through the delivery of full turnkey EPC projects for all Siemens Energy Business Areas, including Gas Service, Grid Technologies and Transformation of Industry.
Collaborate with internal and external partners, offer solutions, and ensure project obligations are met accurately and on schedule. You will maintain and strengthen customer relationships throughout the project closure and warranty phases with the aim of achieving timely final completion / acceptance at the end of the warranty phase.
You consistently lead the project with ownership and make daily decisions while seeking alignment of senior management for advanced topics.
How You’ll Make an Impact
The Warranty Project Manager has full responsibility for results within their allocated projects with the objective of:
- Project management of complex projects in the warranty phase in line with the project objectives (with regards to safety, cost, time, quality and functionality).
- Strong understanding of HV substation construction methodology, construction quality issues and ability to identify and implement remedial solutions to any problems encountered ensuring project controls are established throughout the project in line with ‘Project Excellence at Siemens Energy’ (PE@SE) & the Business Management System.
- Ensuring compliance with all Regulations, Legislation, and Corporate Governance requirements
- Delivering both business success and customer satisfaction in accordance with the project contracts.
- Providing professional stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensuring timely decisions; escalating issues where necessary.
- Managing risk / opportunity, and providing robust contract execution and administration in a professional and compliant manner. Leading the project team in an exemplary and inspirational manner.
- Fostering a feedback culture and drive lessons learnt.
What You Bring
- Previous experience of developing and delivering projects with emphasis on integrated solutions in the energy industry.
- Experience in Project/Site Management (cost-quality-time controlling, Risk Management, Scheduling, Stake Holder Management, Leadership, Team building, Change Management and Claims Management etc.) with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- PM Accreditation at the respective level is preferred but a desire with commitment and a development plan leading to such is required.
- HNC, HND or degree qualified in a suitably related subject area i.e. electrical engineering (preferably) and have extensive site/project management experience of substation construction projects
- A working knowledge and practical application of project management methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of Commercial / Contractual management.
- Conflict Management experience.
- Demonstrated experience and a deep Knowledge of Risk / Opportunity Management.
- CDM Regulations 2015 / Health & Safety Legislation / Environmental Awareness
- Effective leadership, supervisory, communication & interpersonal skills.
