About our Program

S4E is one of the major Business- & IT Transformation Programs within global Siemens Energy (SE). Its key objective is to transform our historical patchwork of 23 legacy SAP systems into a completely new platform based on the latest state-of-the-art SAP S/4 HANA technology. At the same time, S4E-Unify is aiming for the optimization and harmonization of SE’s worldwide Business Processes across all Business Areas, Regions and Functions. Goal is to significantly reduce complexity, increase speed and flexibility, foster cross-organizational collaboration and finally drive significant cost reductions.The S4E-Unify core team consists of roughly 300 colleagues around the globe plus a substantial extended community of subject matter experts (SME), change network ambassadors and other contributors. It affects 40,000 global users and follows an implementation roadmap through 2030.

A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Integration Test Cycle (ITC) lead to join our dynamic S4E Testing Factory team. The role focusses on designing and executing all aspects of the ITC testing within the rollout of the largest business transformation program of Siemens Energy.

With your engagement you ensure stakeholder alignment and effective ITC test management for future industrialized rollouts of SAP S/4HANA. This role drives all aspects of ITC testing across the business, the central program, and involved external partners. You ensure a seamless integration with all testing activities within the overall program.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Overall responsible for the setup and operations of the S4E Integration Test Cycle (ITC) in SE's largest business transformation program.
  • Translate the strategic objectives of the S4E program into an ITC testing approach and establish a high-performance delivery model that enables an industrialized in-parallel rollout approach.
  • Develop and maintain S4E related ITC testing strategy and methodology. Embed rollout related ITC testing activities into the overall scope of ITC testing across the program. Establish the governance structure for ITC testing and closely collaborate with all S4E internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish working relationships between the testing factory and all relevant interfacing teams (e.g. development/solution factory, data migration factory, organizational change factory). Contribute to an efficient way of working along the cross-factory operating model.
  • Setup working mode with 3rd party partner for ITC testing and manage 3rd party service performance. Bring SoW ambition on ITC testing into execution reality. Establish and track OKRs and KPIs related to ITC testing.
  • Preform capacity planning to allow performing ITC test activities. Ensure 3rd party capacity is available. Contribute to rollout teams for their rollout capacity planning. Identify constraints and critical path items early on and establish mitigation actions.
  • Provide guidance and support to the test manager(s) in the rollout projects in-regards to the ITC testing. Ensure test infrastructure, test cases, user role access, and all other relevant inputs are available in-time for the rollout teams’ testing process.
  • Ensure audit proof documentation of all testing-related activities is compiled and available as needed/ as requested (e.g. by auditors).
  • Define timeline and activities for the "golden plan" (rollout reference plan) on ITC testing. Ensure ITC test scenarios are developed and deployed to cover the rollout needs and business specific IT ecosystems.
  • Drive process automation and efficiency improvements on all S4E related ITC testing scope. Develop and drive deployment of automation, test standardization, deployment of AI, etc.
  • Establish and ensure a defect management and re-testing model is established and all ITC test activities are linked-into this.

What you bring

  • You have a bachelor degree or equivalent in business, IT, Project Management or other relevant subject area and at least 5+ years of experience in related business and/or project leadership roles.
  • You have practical experience working in distributed and mixed IT services delivery models (in-house/outsourced; on-site / near-shore / offshore). You have been leading delivery of IT services towards the business / projects as functional expert or in a management position.
  • You find lean solutions to complex challenges in a diverse stakeholder environment and apply your collaboration skills towards finding solutions - data and facts driven.
  • You can navigate well in IT project and IT delivery team setups. You can identify the key stakeholders for ITC testing and build trust with them to support achieving the objectives of the Testing Factory.
  • You are curious and eager to learn, challenge the status quo and aim for continuous improvements. You make no compromise in Quality, Employee Health and Safety, Compliance and good leadership practices.
  • You are available to travel frequently to engage with global key stakeholders and are proficient in English, along with strong analytical, effective communication, and assertiveness skills.

About the Team

You are responsible for setting up and managing all aspects of the Integration Test Cycle (ITC) for the Siemens Energy SAP S/4HANA rollout project. You have full leadership from ITC strategy development to its operational execution. In this role you leverage the setup of the S4E Program with assigned team members across all rollout projects as well as our external IT delivery partner. Your work enables us to scale the testing process to an industrialized level including automation and AI technologies that allow efficient and effective ITC test management for 10+ in-parallel rollout projects.

You manage all stakeholders related to ITC testing from the link to all other delivery factories (development, data migration, change) to all the organization specific rollout teams. You steer the performance of the external IT service delivery partner in the scope of ITC testing and ensure in-time, in-quality, audit proof documented testing as part of the rollout projects.
