A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Technical System Engineer at Omnivise Asset Management and Omnivise Energy Management, you will bear responsibility of setting up and configuring data interfaces for our on-premise and cloud-based energy system monitoring and optimizing solutions.

Your daily duties will encompass various technical tasks, including but not limited to, the following: overseeing the technical implementation of communication interfaces in Omnivise projects, which includes a comprehensive analysis of contractual documents, conducting technical clarification with customers and collaborating other projects or sub-projects, supporting internal solution development teams, designing new system structures, implementation, configuration and testing of interfaces up to commissioning of the interface solution on-site or remotely. It is also essential to document all activities and any system changes thoroughly, so this role requires keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

How You’ll Make an Impact

·       Analysis of contractual technical requirements

·       Technical clarification of interfaces to customers

·       Collaborating other projects or sub-projects

·       Supporting internal solution development teams

·       Designing new system structures

·       Implementation and configuration of interfaces for cloud and on-premise deployments

·       Testing and commissioning of Omnivise digital solutions

·       Document implementation process, system architecture and any system changes

·       Preparation of customer documentation

·       Continuously improve knowledge with respect to trends and tools

What You Bring 

·       Degree in computer science, electrical, mechanical or process engineering (BSc or MSc)

·       More than 3 years of experience in system architecture and general engineering

·       Profound knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g. OPC)

·       Cloud deployment (Terraform, AWS, Azure, Gitlab CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Helm)

·       Knowledge of network security controls such as firewalls or routers

·       Familiar with databases (e.g. SQL, Oracle)

·       General knowledge of power plant processes

·       Basic knowledge of power plant instrumentation and control systems

·       Troubleshooting skills

·       Solution oriented personality

·       Professional working proficiency of English language

·       Willingness to travel (4 – 6 travels per year)
