Sobre a função
A Snapshot of Your Day
You will develop accurate, user-centric, and technically sound documentation for SCADA systems in wind turbine operations, supporting engineering, commissioning, operations, and maintenance teams.
The role requires close collaboration with SCADA engineers, network architects, software developers, and field technicians to document highly technical content related to wind farm control systems, networking architecture, data acquisition, and remote monitoring. You will translate complex engineering concepts into clear and usable documentation, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with industry standards.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SCADA software and network infrastructure
- Develop system architecture and topology diagrams
- Prepare network configuration guides (switches, routers, firewalls)
- Document communication protocols (e.g., IEC 60870-5-104, Modbus, OPC)
- Develop installation and commissioning manuals
- Define cybersecurity and access control procedures
- Document alarm handling and data logging processes
- Create end-user and admin operation guides
- Develop assembly work instructions
- Prepare electrical work instructions and wiring routing for SCADA panels
- Work on product specifications and engineering circuit drawings
- Manage BoM and components documentation
- Translate complex engineering concepts into clear documentation for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SCADA engineers, software developers, OT/IT teams, vendors) to gather source content
- Use documentation tools such as MS Office, Excel, Visio, Markdown, LaTeX, XML/DITA, and version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Ensure consistency in format, terminology, and compliance with industry standards and company style guidelines
- Regularly update documentation based on system upgrades, regulatory changes, and new deployments
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 3 to 6 years of experience
- Experience as a technical writer in the energy, automation, or SCADA domain
- Solid understanding of SCADA systems, industrial networking, and data acquisition principles
- Familiarity with wind turbine operations, control systems, and remote monitoring tools
- Strong grasp of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, IP routing)
- Proficiency in creating structured technical documents using tools like MS Office, Excel, Visio, Xmetal, LaTeX, Markdown, or Sphinx
- Experience working in Agile engineering environments and interpreting technical drawings and network schematics using NX software / SEE Electrical software
About the Team
