A Snapshot of Your Day

You act as a change agent in an individual corporate responsibility where you are a key participant in a multi-function team. You would be developing and implementing critical initiatives aimed at improving the performance, capabilities, and collaboration with supply partners supplying components and services across the business areas. You would be solving critical supplier issues related to quality, capability, cost. You would be leading, coaching influencing or participating on global teams with multiple experts and enjoy fully applying the team’s expertise along with your own.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and lead/consult on innovative strategic programs / projects aimed at improving the performance, capabilities, and collaboration with specific supplier partners to enhance the overall effectiveness of Strategic Procurement. This can include going beyond the standard processes and initiating proactive strategic supplier development requirements such as capacity, yield, technology improvements, innovation, capability etc. or reactive performance topics related to quality, delivery etc.
  • Use problem solving methodologies to diagnose supply base issues/opportunities, proactively identify and mitigate risks, initiate actions to meet specific or systemic business needs
  • Leading includes planning, tracking, and reporting of project achievements as well as budget and resource needs.
  • Develop systematic methodologies, new approaches and standard process guides using experience gained from conducting Supplier Development activities. Share them with internal and external business entities to improve the overall Supplier Development competency across Siemens Energy’s supply base.

What You Bring

  • Dynamic self-starter with strong initiative, leadership skills, self-reliance and intercultural expertise, demonstrating strategic and analytical thinking.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in industrial engineering, mechanical or electrical engineering, or related fields; relevant combination of education and manufacturing/quality/supply chain experience considered.
  • Proven work experience in supplier quality management, strategic procurement, manufacturing, supply chain operational excellence and related technical areas.
  • Experienced change agent in Supplier Development, leading projects, task forces and virtual multi-functional teams in international settings.
  • Experience in production planning, operational excellence, capacity ramp up and data analytics; Desirable advanced certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, SCRUM
  • Fluent in reading technical documents, analyzing performance metrics, synthesizing data, communicating facts and results at various senior organizational levels
  • Strong project management skills, with the particular ability to proactively plan, identify obstacles, and develop resolution plans expeditiously; willing to travel up to 40%.

The Supplier Development team is dedicated to refining supplier management practices within Strategic Procurement, significantly contributing to Siemens Energy's competitive edge. We innovate methods, programs, and best practices that bolster the capabilities and performance of our supply base, aligning with the company's immediate and future objectives.

This role is pivotal in supporting all Siemens Energy Business Areas in an individual capacity, with functional management and key interfaces potentially spanning the globe.
