How You’ll Make an Impact
As part of the Siemens Energy Controls & Digitalization Strategy team, your main tasks consist of supporting the definition and implementation of the strategic direction of the global business. Reporting to the Head of Strategy of CD, you will interact with the other strategy teams, other BUs, CD global functions and the CD Regions to ensure realization of the strategic roadmap.
Your responsibilities:
- Support and enhance the annual market evaluation process, ensuring alignment in approaches and identification of common market drivers.
- Act as the go-to-person for market and fleet analysis derived from our CRM system as well as, competitor and market intelligence across the organization.
- Support the organization’s decision making through in-depth data-driven analysis for both market and competitors.
- Collaborate and participate in strategic projects (e.g., Growth initiatives, partnering); drive and connect diverse projects, programs and events in need of strategic perspective and continuously challenge the strategy.
- Collaborate in core strategic initiatives on corporate, functional or regional level.
- Support functions / regions to deploy the strategy and prioritize what is important by bringing together market dynamics with short to long-term strategic targets.
- Act as a contact point into the organization and ensure the implementation of corporate-wide strategic programs; coordinate as well as innovate strategic processes in interaction with other Business Areas & Corporate functions (e.g., M&A projects, market model).
- Structure, analyze and translate business challenges and complex data into actionable solutions (e.g., for adjacent or new business fields).
What You Bring
- Excellent skills in problem structuring, project management and strategic planning - Strategy background in an industrial conglomerate and / or experience as management consultant for the energy or digital markets appreciated.
- Experience in market modeling, analysis, quantification and evaluation.
- Experience in interacting with interdisciplinary teams across the different organizational levels.
- Knowledge of the Energy market dynamics (from conventional to renewables) is an advantage.
- High intercultural sensitivity and advanced communication as well as presentation skills transporting data and content.
- Expertise in working with Business Intelligence Tools, e.g., Tableau, AlteryX is a must.
- As you work in an international environment, you are business fluent in English.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and “can do" attitude with business acumen to balance short with long-term focus.
- Openness, creativity and enthusiasm for strategy and solving challenges through data and facts.
