We are looking for a data-driven and business-oriented colleague to join our Grid Technologies Switchgear Network Optimization organization as Strategic Capacity & Footprint Analyst. Transform complex operational, financial, and business data into actionable insights, supporting management decisions on network capacity, productivity, factory performance, investment priorities, and long-term footprint development. The role acts as a bridge between data analytics and business strategy, partnering closely with manufacturing, supply chain, finance, procurement, logistics, engineering, and network management teams.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Collect, consolidate, and analyze business data across the global Switchgear factory network.
- Develop data-driven scenarios and recommendations to support footprint strategy, capacity expansion, and network optimization projects.
- Support in building business cases, capacity models, performance dashboards, and decision-support tools for senior management.
- Analyze factory utilization, bottlenecks, demand evolution, productivity trends, and capacity gaps to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Support strategic projects related to manufacturing footprint, localization, expansion, efficiency improvement, and network resilience.
- Translate complex data into clear business insights, executive summaries, and actionable recommendations.
- Develop, maintain, and improve KPI dashboards, reporting systems, and management visualizations.
- Support harmonization and standardization of data structures, reporting methodologies, and performance metrics across factories.
- Drive automation, digitalization, and self-service reporting initiatives to improve transparency and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, procurement, logistics, finance, and network management stakeholders.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across reporting systems, databases, and business analyses.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, Business Administration, Operations Management, Information Systems, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business analytics, strategy consulting, operational excellence, manufacturing analytics, performance management, capacity planning, or network optimization.
- Strong experience in transforming data into business insights, recommendations, and management presentations.
- Good understanding of manufacturing operations, capacity planning, factory performance, supply chain, or industrial footprint topics.
- Advanced proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Snowflake, SQL, SAP, Power Query, Excel, or equivalent analytics platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking skills.
- Ability to build business cases, scenarios, and decision-support models.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in a global and cross-functional environment.
- Ability to explain complex data in a clear, structured, and business-relevant way.
- Fluent English required; German is considered an advantage.
