Steam Turbine Field Service Supervisor

For our Transformation of Industry Business Unit in Ankara, we are looking for  Steam Turbine Field Service Supervisors who will be responsible for executing the required installation and service activities for steam turbine fleet.

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Steam Turbine Supervisor you will perform installation, work with minor/major and preventive maintenance worn on Siemens Energy Industrial Steam Turbines. This dynamic role will include day-to-day activities as part of a team or independently on duties as assigned. This can include preparing daily shift activities, co-ordinate with adjacent equipment, maintenance activities, ensure clear shift handover with peers/ lead, and communicating clearly on job requirements to personnel and other relevant stakeholders.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Site preparation such as preparation and check of tools, parts, equipment, internal resources and subcontractor resource activities on site required for the work execution
• Leading site activities, controlling technicians and coordinating other subcontractors
• Ensure proper documentation and timely submission of check sheets, test procedures, spare parts list, daily shift activities, status reports, field reports to the required quality on assembly/disassembly activities during all outages
• Effectively identify technical problems as they occur and take appropriate actions to resolve including escalation of more complex issues to a higher level, providing expert advice and technical assistance to support staff and subordinate technicians
• Develop strong relationships and interface with our customers as well as counterparts in Türkiye and regional headquarters
• Comply with the EHS guidelines and Quality standards in the related field works
• Actively support with post outage activities such as lesson learn documentation, manpower survey and feedback on demand

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• 3-5 years working experience in field service environment
• Knowledge of and working experience with large rotating equipment, especially steam turbines would be an asset
• Experience working at Power Generation Unit is preferred
• General profound understanding of technical equipment and ability to work with/based on technical specification, drawings, manuals, technical documentation etc.
• Strong analytical skills with an affinity with technology and innovation in the service industry combined with a proactive and convincing attitude
• Excellent communication skills, good command of written and spoken in English

What else do I need to know?

• Military service should have been completed for male candidates
• In case of necessity to work on public holidays/weekend
• Flexible for travelling about 70% yearly
• Based in Ankara is an asset, but not mandatory - remote location after completion of training & certification phase is also possible
