A Snapshot of Your Day

A snapshot of your day in this role includes overseeing service operations across multiple wind farm sites while ensuring crews are properly staffed and projects stay on track. You review and approve employee hours, PTO, and R&R schedules to maintain operational coverage, while also leading internal and external recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and personnel functions for service teams. Throughout the day, you support performance planning by setting goals, coaching employees, and team success, while monitoring key performance indicators related to productivity, staffing, safety, and operational performance. You also conduct regularly scheduled safety checks and compliance reviews to ensure all teams are operating safely and in alignment with company and regulatory standards.

How You’ll Make an Impact
Oversee service operations for Garden, Fairbanks and Big Turtle I/II Wind farms, with other duties as assigned.
Review and approve employee hours, PTO, and R&R for optimal staffing.
Lead internal and external recruiting, hiring, and personnel functions.
Conduct performance planning and goal setting to drive team success.
Monitor and review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for service operations.
Conduct regular safety & quality checks to ensure compliance.

What You Bring  
Proven experience in service operations management or a related field with a strong technical background.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Excellent organizational skills with a focus on operational strategies.
Proficient in analyzing financial data and KPIs for performance improvement.
Strong communication skills for effective engagement with customers and team members.
Must hold a valid Driver’s License and be legally authorized to work in the United States

About the Team 
If selected for the position, you will be joining the Midwest service portfolio which has wind farm locations in Michigan, Illinois and Indiana.  Specifically, this position consists of 21 SG3X turbines at Fairbanks, 14 G9X turbines at Garden and 24 SG2X turbines at Big Turtle I/II.  It will be challenging and provide upward growth potential.  You will be working closely with the with your staff of full time SGRE technicians and 3rd party contractor technicians to complete maintenance cycles on-time, keep contractual availability and grow a talented team of wind farm technicians.  You will be supported by a team of admin, planners, technical project specialists and your portfolio manager.  This position will give the new Service Operations Manager the ability to build these wind farms with competent and knowledgeable technicians and focus efforts on customer relations, operational KPI’s and a positive team first mentality.
