A Snapshot of Your Day 
 
A typical day begins with exchange of regional business insights with your colleagues,  followed with gathering of information relevant for the preparation of your offer: with your sales project team (regional sales, commercial manager, contract manager, engineering, cost manager, field service manager, marketing specialists, among others). For management authorization, preparation of strategic meetings or LOA could be an appointment in your calendar.
You may also have in your agenda exciting trainings, which will deepen your knowledge in our services, products and solutions. And after successful contract negotiations with the customer, your calendar may be busy with the transfer of the project to the contract implementation team.
 
How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • You will support the regional sales by explore program business sales opportunities for gas turbines, steam turbines, and generator services as well as lead the preparation of complete and accurate techno-commercial bids to meet the Sales Target Agreement; This includes the definition of project winning strategy
  • Evaluate customer tender specifications and determine the marketing and pricing strategy
  • Responsible for managing the bid process for Program Business and Complex Projects (Operation and Maintenance (O&M), Long Term Maintenance Programs (LTP) as well as Full Scope Maintenance (FSM) and Change Mode contracts). 
  • You integrate customer requirements under the aspects of risk evaluation, specific power plant conditions and risks
  • Responsibility for the contract process including complex contract negotiations (adapting the contract to customer-specific requirements; developing customer-specific contract conditions, etc.) and managing the Limits of Authority approval process
  • Responsible for the successful project handover to the project execution team (PM)
  • Engage with customer early in key drivers’ definition, challenges, decision process to gain influence on decision criteria by applying win-win philosophy. Understand the value chain and Business model of the main players and customers in the countries and the political aspects of the industry
What You Bring
  • Relevant Engineering University degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering
  • You have already gained a long term of professional experience in sales, business development and marketing in the power plant business
  • You can demonstrate knowledge in the areas of Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) and gas turbine technology - expert knowledge in the areas of sales, project management, LTP, O&M and FSM
  • You have solid knowledge of the Middle East energy markets, customers and supplier structures
  • Can understand and able to develop customer requirements to business opportunities and communicate these effectively within Siemens organization, and you can run economic analysis and business cases for key projects
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Excellent in English, German and Arabic is a plus

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
