A Snapshot of your Day
The holder of this position is responsible for providing guidance and support to the business in the definition and implementation of Business Continuity Plans. The holder of this position reports to the Head of Corporate Security Central Support and works closely with other security professionals to provide broad approach, consulting and implementation support for the topics of Security Compliance, Travel and Workplace Security, Asset Protection, Incident & Crisis Management / Business Continuity.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Contributes to the resilience of Siemens Energy activities globally, providing mentorship to the organization and maintaining critical business functions during and after disruptions, developing and implementing plans to minimize impact and enable quick recovery.
- Supports the implementation and compliance with Siemens Energy business continuity management governance requirements, including but not limited to assessing risks, developing recovery strategies, conducting training, and communicating efficiently with partners..
- Supports the business in the identification of risks and impact analysis, and identification of recovery time objectives and resource requirements.
- Promotes resilience awareness, conducts trainings to support the achievement of business objectives, as well as seeking to simplify and improve processes and procedures.
- Maintains and updates the governance documents and supporting materials, as needed, considering legal and customer requirements and international standards.
- Conducts regular tests and exercises of Business Continuity plans and identifies areas for improvement and supports occasionally for other topics in the Corporate Security Central Support Team, e.g. Crisis Management, Security Incident Management, Travel Security or Property Protection
- A bachelor’s degree (or comparable) in a relevant field, such as business administration, information technology, security management or engineering is required
- 3+ years of experience working in business continuity, disaster recovery, operational risk management, including practical experience of project management, incident, and crisis management, in a multinational company, or similar experience.
- Proven knowledge and experience related to international BCM standards (e.g. ISO 22301, BCI Good Practice Guidelines); Industry-recognized certifications, such as CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) is a plus.
- Ability to communicate efficiently both orally and in writing in English, strong networking, negotiating, and influencing skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to handle workload in an effective manner with minimal direct supervision and flexibility in leading multiple and diverse tasks, also analyzing and assimilate information from diverse sources, including local and international media outlets, social media outlets, local information sources.
- Experience in working in a multicultural environment, as well as shown communication skills, ability to connect with diverse audiences, effective problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in time critical situations.
