A Snapshot of Your Day

Are you our next Senior SAP ERP Development Lead? We are looking for an experienced professional to join our Center of Expertise for SAP ERP development technologies.

Imagine designing secure, scalable architectures across S/4HANA, ECC, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) while driving project implementations and support as a Senior Development Lead. You will perform Technical Quality Gates (TQGs), prepare effort estimations and proposals for requirements, and establish and maintain high levels of development practices. You will also build and implement strong governance around ERP developments to ensure business operations run smoothly.

You will add value by leading a small team of developers, both internal and external, to manage TQGs for S/4HANA projects, BTP-based cloud developments, and SAP ECC-based developments. Additionally, you will work closely with other departments, SAP Basis, and technical team members to support a complex SAP landscape and ensure all issues and change requests are handled appropriately.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Guide, mentor, and evaluate ABAP/RAP/Fiori/SAP developers.

  • Conduct code reviews and enforce performance standards.

Technical Governance

  • Drive Clean Core methodologies.

  • Set coding standards and ensure traceability of change artifacts across ERP transformations.

Custom Development & Integration

  • Design governance for custom RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows) objects.

  • Manage integrations with middleware and third-party systems.

Modern SAP Adaptation

  • Architect solutions using modern tools such as SAP BTP, S/4HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, and SAP Fiori/UI5.

  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies, leveraging them for solutioning.

Quality Assurance & Technical Support

  • Lead root-cause analysis for system defects and ensure robust testing and release management.

  • Utilize deep technical expertise to provide cybersecurity consulting to internal partners and value streams.

  • Perform performance analysis and troubleshooting for S/4HANA and ECC systems.

Project & Service Management

  • Perform IT Project Management duties for small-to-medium projects.

  • Oversee IT providers for application maintenance and change requests.

  • Collaborate with other application teams, provider teams, and the Service Desk team.

  • Prepare effort estimations and proposals for requirements.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify improvements in cloud operations and apply AI and GenAI to improve efficiency in day-to-day operations.

  • Be self-motivated and able to influence across organizations.

  • Possess strong communication skills.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • 15+ years of experience building complex IT developments, cloud environments, and providing business support for complex IT landscapes.

  • At least 3+ years of experience managing a small technical team; project coordination experience is a must.

  • Knowledge and expertise in governance of cloud developments, including RAP and CAP, and the SAP Cloud ABAP environment is required.

  • Good to have knowledge/experience in SAP Joule and Joule for developers.

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

  • Project management experience, including scheduling, quality control, and change communication.

  • Experience identifying improvements in cloud operations and applying AI and GenAI to improve efficiency in day-to-day operations.

  • Proficiency in designing cloud architecture and collaborating with Cybersecurity and other teams to obtain sign-off on IT compliance-related topics.

  • Willingness to travel 10–20% domestically and internationally.

  • Implementation experience with multinational companies is preferred.

  • Reliable, motivated, and eager to learn.

You will be part of the Center of Expertise for SAP ERP development technologies, working across a complex SAP landscape involving S/4HANA, ECC, and SAP Business Technology Platform.

You will collaborate with developers, SAP Basis, technical teams, application teams, service providers, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality development practices, effective governance, and reliable SAP operations.
