A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide legal support for various product lines in Siemens Energy’s industrial and energy businesses! Your primary responsibility will be to support commercial transactions for the sale and service of equipment. You will need to suggest innovative ways to deal with contract requirements, negotiations, obligations, claims, and exposures!


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Draft and negotiate contractual documents to achieve acceptable risk levels.
  • Draft settlement agreements, confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, change orders, and other contractual terms and conditions.
  • Advise management on contractual and legal risks.
  • Lead claims handling and litigation support for projects in execution.
  • Support corporate and compliance matters.
  • Assist Business Partners with business strategy and planning.

This position will be based out of Siemens Energy’s offices in Orlando, FL or Houston, Texas, and supports various Siemens Energy businesses throughout the Americas.


What You Bring

  • Juris Doctorate required.
  • Must be admitted to practice law in one or more states.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of direct relevant legal experience in a law firm or corporate in-house position.
  • Strong negotiation skills, detail oriented, and able prioritize multiple projects at the same time.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Pragmatic approach to problem solving and strong flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
  • Teamplayer who can work independently and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely with a range of associates as well as senior executives.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and facilitation skills.
  • Commercial transaction and litigation experience required.
  • Energy or industrial industry experience preferred
  • Spanish is beneficial but not required.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our team is a blend of experts who have deep knowledge in the Energy industry and legal professionals who have joined the industry more recently – all of them committed to serving our customers and society by contributing to the realization of critical energy infrastructure projects. The team of legal professionals works closely with the business partners responsible for the sale of Service solutions for Siemens Energy power generation equipment, throughout the Americas. The Service offerings range from master purchase agreements, and urgent plant service requests, to complex long-term service and operation agreements.
