Imagine leading the charge in establishing self-driven laboratories that autonomously design, synthesize, test, and evaluate advanced materials. You will integrate AI-based material design with automated experimentation, creating a seamless workflow that accelerates innovation cycles. By leveraging closed-loop learning, you will continuously enhance digital material models for industrial energy applications, making a significant impact on our mission to drive sustainable energy solutions.
- Definition and deployment of self-driven lab architectures for streamlined materials development
- Integration of AI-based material design with automated synthesis and testing for enhanced efficiency
- Design of robotic and parallel experimentation workflows for rapid material innovation
- Establishment of closed-loop optimization between machine learning models and lab execution for continuous improvement
- Management of large volumes of experimental and sensor data ensuring FAIRness and traceability
- Continuous improvement of machine learning models through experimental feedback and bridging of digital predictions with physical validation and scale-up to ensure real-world impact
- Completed PhD or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline
- Extensive hands-on experience in R&D or engineering environments
- Deep expertise in materials synthesis, characterization, and advanced testing techniques
- Demonstrated experience with automation, robotics, and high-throughput experimentation
- Strong foundation in AI/ML and data-driven approaches to optimization and process improvement
- Extensive experience in closed-loop or self-driven lab environments, coupled with strong leadership and communication skills across technical and business domains
