A Snapshot of Your Day

You will join Siemens Energy’s global Competence Centre for Offshore Wind and contribute to both offshore wind projects worldwide and onshore substation projects in Denmark. Your work will play a key role in developing substation designs for offshore wind, Power-to-X (PtX), and transmission projects. You will either be based in our office in Copenhagen or work from our office in Belgrade with frequent trips to Copenhagen.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing cubicles for a range of systems, including AIS, GIS, SCADA, Network, Control, and Protection
  • Supporting the panel engineering scope across multiple projects and in different project structures
  • Managing mechanical interfaces as well as control cable and LV power cable connections to cubicles
  • Supporting the LV cable engineering scope
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of design libraries and engineering tools
  • Collaborating closely with the design lead, technical project managers, and specialists to ensure high-quality design outcomes and an efficient workflow
  • Performing thorough quality assurance of supplier deliverables

What You Bring

  • A degree in electrical engineering and 5+ years of proven experience in cubicle design using tools such as ELCAD, Engineering Base, or EPLAN
  • Strong experience with circuit diagrams, including LV power distribution, protection relay and SCADA Components integration, terminal layouts, wiring lists, and labeling
  • Experience in interlocking design and creating logic diagrams that describe interlocking functions
  • A solid understanding of interfaces and design workflows within control and protection systems, with the ability to break down design tasks into structured steps for planning
  • A project- and customer-oriented mindset combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills for working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficient English language skills
  • Availability for monthly business trips to Denmark to collaborate with the team
