A Snapshot of Your Day 

As an R&D Project Manager (f/m/d), your task is to ensure the success of our R&D projects within the solutions portfolio including all components and will be also responsible for the Obsolescence Management of the solution portfolio. To achieve this, you will work closely with various departments such as service, procurement, engineering, and development to monitor the lifecycle of components and minimize risks associated with obsolete parts. Your daily work includes analyzing market and technology trends to identify potential obsolescence issues early and take appropriate measures. You will develop and implement strategies to ensure that we can rely on alternative sources or replacement parts when needed. 
You are responsible for the coordination of the phase out process of the products and solutions within our organization and be the interface to our service organization.
Within our HVDC and FACTS solution portfolio you will manage and coordinate R&D projects across various engineering disciplines.
Finally, you play a key role in communicating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure that our solutions remain competitive and sustainable.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Technical project management and lifecycle control for HVDC and FACTS transmission solutions
  • Drafting and tracking internal and external solutions through to implementation, including replacement strategies
  • Coordination with procurement, engineering, project execution, service, and manufacturing teams for proactive obsolescence management
  • Management of development projects for obsolete product replacements and other R&D initiatives
  • Development of project plans encompassing scope, schedule, resources, and budget
  • Creation and updating of obsolescence management plans, with review and specification of technical requirements alongside the service organization

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent degree in engineering, business, or a related field, along with experience in project management or R&D, preferable in Grid Technologies
  • Excellent analytical skills to deal with technical problems
  • Proficient in analyzing customer requirements and providing beneficial contributions.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across the organization
  • Ability to adapt and make decisions in a dynamic work environment that requires problem-solving skills.
  • Very good communication skills for leading teams (without personnel responsibility) and in customer clarifications
