A Snapshot of Your Day

We are looking for a Quality and EHS professional to support the EQS (EHS, Quality, Security) team in Global Service Operations. Passion, creativity, and continuous improvement – if those describe you, then look no further for your next opportunity!

 

You will be part of the Global Service Operations EQS team, in Siemen Energy, Gas Services, Central Execution Unit. You will be collaborating with the Global Service Operations functions in a matrix organization, as well as with the quality and EHS teams in the Regional Service Units, Central Execution Unit, Gas services, and Siemens Energy EQS. Through your expertise, you will support Global Service Operations in meeting the Quality and EHS objectives, with focus on Zero Harm, governance, reducing nonconformance costs, and continuous improvement. The role involves promoting health and safety awareness, ensuring environmental protection, and driving highest quality standards. Your daily focus will be identifying and sharing best practices and lessons learned, reducing the causes of nonconformities and associated costs and collaboration with GSO functions for EHS and Quality improvements. While highly interactive, this role also provides autonomy and growth opportunities in a multitude of areas to cultivate a variety of work experiences.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Collaborating with Global Service Operations functional process owners to ensure maintenance, adherence, and enhancements of EHS and Quality policies, processes, and procedures applicable to Global Service Operations.
  • Support the reporting of Quality and EHS KPIs to ensure full transparency.
  • Joining or leading special related projects on management request.
  • Be an advocate for a healthy Zero Harm safety culture that protects the safety of Siemens Energy’s employees, subcontractors, and customers.
  • Regularly conduct and/or coordinate safety training with GSO functions management and maintain awareness of the Zero Harm program.
  • Ensure all incidents are investigated and recorded and appropriate measures are defined, implemented, and monitored. Analyze statistics including near misses to identify trends and implement counter measures. Promote the sharing of best practices and lessons learned.
  • Become expert for NCC reporting and drive improvements, enhancements of processes including documentation of processes, based on systematic analysis of NC and NCC in collaboration with regional service units and product lines. Support assignment of SME to RCAs.
  • Performing internal audits, identifying needs, and proposing specific measures to increase quality, health, and safety awareness, at both local and global level.
  • Supporting implementation, distribution, and training of the QM and EHS Standards, global procedures communication and quality training support to Global Service Operations
  • Coordination with the functional responsible for administration of new/revised Instructions and work documents in SEPH and local databases.
  • Business partner for RSUs quality and EHS organizations. Representing your team in local quality and EHS meetings and coordinating related actions. Working closely with team members and business partners to achieve quality and EHS focused business goals and drive continuous improvement in Quality and Zero Harm Culture.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.), preferably with an Engineering focus, Business, or related field with 10+ years proven industry experience.
  • Excellent team skills with demonstrated ability to motivate global teams to achieve desired results.
  • Willingness to develop and implement strategic concepts and projects and leading them to successful completion in the repair business.
  • Excellent analytical approach with the ability to achieve results. Solid communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Project Management skills with ability to work across multiple organizations and drive improvement.
  • Robust knowledge and experience with multiple problem-solving and process improvement methodologies.
  • ISO Internal Auditing experience is preferred.
  • Relevant Safety Certificates or proven experience
  • Knowledge of gas turbine components with gas turbine repair experience preferred.
  • SAP background and knowledge of Alteryx and Tableau preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
