Snapshot of Your Day

Lead the overall sales development process for large, complex Mods & Ups Projects related to reciprocating compression – Responsible for Opportunity discovery & qualification; strategy setting & development; identifying and influencing key decision makers; and successfully navigating complex internal & external selling environments.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Apply strong business insight to build and communicate a compelling value proposition while meeting company growth and profit targets.
  • Responsible for Forecasting all M&U business in assigned selling accounts – Salesforce funnel, and accuracy / quality of forecasts.
  • Achieve a "Clean Handover" to the commercial and implementing teams for every new project. Responsibilities include final Purchase Order review and capture; and leading/participating in all internal and external kickoff meetings.
  • Develop and nurture client relationships and continually create new ones by active onsite visits and engagement sessions. Capture and share customer intelligence within SE.
  • Participate and potentially lead SE business growth initiatives as needed.
  • Meet SE sales, booking and earning objectives while representing the customer requirements. Manage expense governance within SE corporate guidelines.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related Engineering field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5+years’ experience with Rotating equipment sales, turbomachinery, compression and/or capital project business development experience, preferably with knowledge of centrifugal compressors.
  • Willing to travel domestically in a defined regional sales territory.
  • Strategically oriented with a detailed knowledge of products, services, and markets of centrifugal compressors with an understanding of compressor performance & application principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and across organizational and international boundaries.
  • Self-motivated with high energy drive and business sense.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.

This job may be based in California. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.  Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://benefitsatenergy.com/thinking-of-joining.html.  The base salary range for this position if based in California is 105k-143k and the annual incentive target is 50% of base salary.   

  

Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
