A Snapshot of Your Day 

As part of the Accounting Operation Governance team, you will be responsible to run projects to improve the operational accounting organization’s efficiency and effectiveness. With your analytical skills you will drive transparency on both processes and costs to enable decision making about organizational and processual related questions.
 
How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Process ownership & leadership: you work on high-profile projects directly for the head of Accounting Operations Governance globally.
  • You take over ownership for projects and are responsible for initiating, managing, and completing those projects to continuously improve the operational accounting organization’s efficiency and effectiveness. This specifically includes the field of business partner master data, process management, service (provider) management, operational controlling and furthermore any other related topic with interface to operational accounting.
  • You will be involved in new demands within Accounting Operations, or as part of a demand for a cross functional E2E process. You will understand the underlying demand, identify & involve required stakeholders, determine required processes & tools changes and finally ensure its implementation and application. 
  • You listen actively to relevant stakeholders to identify the need for action, identify priorities and aim for holistic and pragmatic solutions in complex settings, while ensuring adequate alignment and decisively moving forward in taking ownership of decisions. Your curiosity, creativity and persuasiveness are a key factor in promoting and facilitating improvement ideas or other valuable solutions.
  • Collaboration & teamwork: you build strong partnerships & win trust through respectful, agile, accountable behavior when interacting with colleagues, customers, partners, and Siemens Energy local and global communities.
  • Your organizational & analytical skills enable you to deal with standard and ad-hoc queries of any kind and to coordinate with stakeholders and team members as required.
What You Bring
  • MBA degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required with long-term working experience in finance/accounting
  • Several years of experience in project and transformation is required
  • Profound understanding of operational accounting processes
  • Track record of successfully performed process improvement projects
  • Proficiency in standard applications incl. SAP and MS Office; readiness to learn & to deploy skills in state-of-the-art technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization across the globe 
  • Autonomous issue identification and resolving independently and as part of a team
