A Snapshot of Your Day

Data classification is mandatory to make complex design datasets findable and accessible for applications like product selectors, product configurations, documentations or in future AI. Siemens Energy Grid Technologies will improve/implement a class system for product (design) data.

As Program Lead (f/m/d) Design Data Classification System, you are driving our content-related activities to reach the goal of a complete design data classification. You have a clear picture regarding the actual situation and existing demands and develops a concept with the target to have a clean classification system an well classified data for the complete design data portfolio.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Classification in our business is already in full swing, therefore your working methods are driven by analytical skills and the motivation to improve real existing data structures
  • The wide range of possible use cases for information from classification results in several demands of data consumers. You collect these demands and evaluate the compliance with the general objectives for our class system
  • Our system environment will change in the future, you keep yourself informed regarding the roadmap, so that you can integrate this into you plan and/or request optimisations to improve the usability of the class system
  • You understand classification as an interdisciplinary task of R&D and IT which works in the agile operation model. To place the necessary tasks in the Backlog for PI/Sprint planning, you have a clear picture of the goal and can break it down into clear separated tasks with effort estimation and clear definition of completion criteria

What You Bring

  • Batchelor or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, high voltage engineering or computer science or related
  • In-depth knowledge in design data structures in PLM-systems like Agile or Teamcenter as well as in classification systems
  • Analytical working approach, courage to decide and stand by your decision
  • Knowledge in switching products or transformer design is beneficial
