A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Buyer – Project Procurement, you’ll be at the core of supplier engagement and contract execution across North America. Your day will involve collaborating with Operations and Project teams to manage tenders, negotiate contracts, and secure qualified suppliers for field services. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure full compliance with Siemens Energy procurement standards while driving cost efficiency and operational excellence. Every day brings a new challenge — balancing strategy, negotiations, and cross-functional coordination to deliver value for our Service projects.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Lead end-to-end tendering and contracting activities for Cranes suppliers.
  • Identify sourcing strategies that align with project requirements, budget, and regional market dynamics.
  • Negotiate commercial and legal terms to secure the most competitive and compliant agreements.
  • Collaborate with SQD and Operations teams to ensure supplier qualification and onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy procurement policies, local regulations, and sourcing board approvals.
  • Foster continuous improvement through supplier performance evaluation and feedback mechanisms.

What You Bring 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 3–5 years preferred of experience in procurement, sourcing, or contract management within industrial, energy, or construction environments.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to balance commercial and operational priorities.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, and MS Office tools
  • Effective communication and presentation skills in English (Spanish is a plus)
  • A proactive and analytical mindset with a high sense of ownership and integrity

You’ll join the Project Procurement organization for the Onshore and Services business unit in North America, a dynamic and collaborative team that partners closely with Operations, Legal, EHS, and Finance to enable project execution. Our focus is on building strong supplier relationships, ensuring compliance, and delivering value-driven procurement strategies that support Siemens Energy’s mission to drive the energy transition.
