A Snapshot of Your Day
The day begins by examining your daily task planner and reviewing the various requirements for your assigned projects and proposals. Additionally, you need to remain attentive to any requests from the sales and bid teams. Your workload will be determined by the specific projects and proposals you are assigned, and the deliverables will align with the scheduled timelines for each assignment.
During your activities, you may also work on initiatives aimed at improving business area processes and standardizing solutions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Execute customized Power and generation systems solutions under minimal direction using local and global design standards, industry standards and engineering best practices.
- Provide engineering support for Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, Field Service and Quality Assurance groups from sales through execution, commissioning, and service.
- Interact directly with project customers to answer questions, resolve comments, and present Siemens Energy solutions.
- Develop new solutions and standardize them for use across our engineering team, where appropriate!
- Prepare project-specific documentation (system and functional descriptions, test and commissioning procedures, etc.)
- Collaborate with electrical design specialists and design engineers to prepare project-specific drawing packages.
What You Bring
- BS Engineering required in relevant field (Electrical or Mechatronics preferred).
- 1+ years of relevant industrial or marine experience with strong interest in developing technical background in power studies (short circuit, load flow., protective device coordination, harmonic analysis, motor starting and arc flash studies)
- Ability to read schematics and interpret customer specifications.
- Must be Bilingual English/Spanish
- Medium and Low Voltage Experience.Switchgear/ Switchboard configuration experience under UL or IEC standards.
- Comfortable with communicating with customers and vendors and resolving comments and changes to documents and drawings.
- Strong organization and excellent time management skills. Strong verbal and written English communication.
