Snapshot of the day
As a Performance Test Engineer (m/f/d) at Siemens Energy, every day is dynamic and fulfilling. Your morning begins with the development of performance testing procedures to ensure that our power plants meet contractual guarantees for efficiency and performance. You are in direct contact with customers, answering their inquiries and clarifying technical aspects. Throughout the project, you will travel to various power plant sites, where you will coordinate and conduct performance tests together with an agile, experienced team. This role is crucial and represents one of the most important commercial breakthroughs in delivering a flawless power plant to our customers
How you make an impact:
- Coordination of performance tests in bidding and execution projects
- Main point of contact for internal teams, external EPCs, end customers, and major component suppliers
- Preparation and execution of performance tests on-site with international customers
- Development of acceptance concepts for offers based on customer specifications and international standards
- Planning and conducting performance tests at international customer sites
- Creation of thermodynamic models to assess the performance of major components, such as boilers
- Leading an interdisciplinary team during on-site performance tests, taking on various tasks related to performance testing and overall plant performance analysis
What you bring:
- Successfully completed university degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or chemical engineering
- Several years of experience in the design and/or commissioning of power plant solutions or modern energy technology systems is desirable
- Knowledge in measuring thermodynamic quantities (pressure, temperature, flow, etc.) is an advantage
- Ability and willingness to quickly adapt to new, unfamiliar tasks
- Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Required qualities include initiative, creativity, quality orientation, organizational talent, and assertiveness
