A Snapshot of Your Day

The GS NA Open Market Finance team is seeking a motivated and talented financial analyst to join our team in Queretaro, MX. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of the parts organization, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and the effective management of financial resources. An open market Financial Analyst is responsible for the activities of revenue recognition, preparing/consolidating/analyzing financial statements, required disclosures, budgets and key performance measures predominantly operating under the completed performance method. Financial presentations for both Global and Domestic management are prepared to provide transparency around the operational performance of the organization. Your focus will be on fostering great customer relationships and ensuring we deliver on key performance indicators as forecasted, in line with internal and external regulations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making, and provide actionable insights to improve financial performance
  • Forecasting of product line Key Performance Indications – Revenue and Margin and analyze data for fluctuations to provide commentary on deviations
  • Month end closing responsibilities including journal entry postings with appropriate documentation related to revenue and direct cost recognition
  • Preparation of management reporting packages on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Serve as a financial advisor to parts and repairs management and other cross-functional stakeholders, effectively communicating financial information to non-financial personnel.
  • Evaluate and enhance financial processes for efficiency and effectiveness, and leverage technology to streamline financial operations.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in finance or accounting
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial analysis techniques.
  • Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals and be proactive in problem solving
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
