A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Mechanical Engineer for Power Transformers, you play a key role in the power transformers development group within Product Management. As part of a global development team, you are responsible for defining and supporting technical rules and solutions. You will oversee not only the technical content but also business objectives such as budget, quality, performance, and schedule requirements. You ensure that we define and implement the most uniform and standardized components, enabling us to provide new sustainable engineering solutions in a timely manner while keeping costs to a minimum.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support the standardization and modularization program
  • Address non-standard functional requirements from end-customers
  • Analyze, evaluate and estimate user requirements and design solutions in collaboration with the partners and the project team
  • Actively collaborate with teams from different departments and sites in an international environment
  • Coordinate with external partners and suppliers
  • Contribute to improving development methods and processes within a highly skilled development team

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience in a relevant subject area.
  • Detailed knowledge in the design of mechanical components within CAD environment (Creo/NX).
  • Knowledge of the mechanical-technological properties of metallic materials and their impact on engineering applications and experience in working with standards for semi-finished products and norm parts.
  • Knowledge of BOM structure and PDM systems (Windchill/ Teamcenter).
  • Good proficiency in using Office tools
  • Analytical thinking, independent way of working
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members as well as various internal and external stakeholders Experience within international project teams
  • Experience within international project teams
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
