A Snapshot of Your Day

Ready to make your mark on cutting-edge turbine technology?

As a Mechanical Design Engineer for Turbine Components Manufacturing, you’ll be the critical bridge between design and production, turning innovative concepts into high-performance reality. In this fast-paced role, you’ll drive new product introductions and tackle complex manufacturing challenges head-on, helping bring advanced industrial gas turbine components to life with precision, efficiency, and impact.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Launch what’s next: Lead the development and rollout of manufacturing processes for new turbine components, partnering with suppliers to bring innovative designs to life while meeting rigorous specifications and industry standards
  • Be the go-to expert: Act as the technical authority for gas turbine manufacturing, delivering hands-on guidance and solutions to both internal teams and external partners
  • Drive continuous improvement: Analyze and refine manufacturing methods to boost efficiency, quality, and alignment with engineering intent
  • Solve the tough problems: Own the evaluation and disposition of non-conformances, balancing cost, performance, durability, and functionality to keep production on track
  • Engineer with precision: Perform critical analyses including dimensional reviews, tolerance stack-ups, and fit/clearance assessments to ensure flawless component performance
  • Design with manufacturability in mind: Champion Design for Manufacturing (DFM) by shaping product definitions and collaborating closely across design and production teams to optimize outcomes

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 3+ years of experience engineering components in a manufacturing environment. More years of experience may be considered at a higher level.
  • Manufacturing methods like investment casting, conventional and non-conventional machining
  • Components, functionality, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design considerations impacting assembly and operation.  Gas turbine specific highly-preferred, but not required.
  • Evaluating and dispositioning non-conforming hardware especially components operating in high-temperature environments
  • Familiarity with SAP, Teamcenter, Lotus Notes, or similar systems preferred
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Export Control Requirement:
