This replacement role for a Market & Customers Manager is established to ensure business continuity and capitalize on significant growth opportunities within Mexico's Oil and Gas sector. The position will focus on identifying key market players and strategically positioning Siemens Energy to secure contracts across the upstream, midstream, and downstream segments. To achieve these objectives, the role is structured around three core areas: Market Strategy & Business Development, Key Account & Relationship Management, and Opportunity Development & Sales Collaboration. This framework ensures a systematic approach to analyzing the market, cultivating strategic partnerships, and translating market intelligence into tangible business wins. Given the focus on these strategic activities, the ideal candidate will possess extensive experience (10+ years) in the Mexican Oil & Gas industry, supported by a degree in Engineering or Business. Essential capabilities include proven expertise in strategic account management, business development, and professional proficiency in both English and Spanish.

What You Need To Make a Difference

  • 50% Key Account & Relationship Management
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the Oil & Gas market, understanding their business drivers and decision-making processes.
    • Create and manage a comprehensive relationship matrix to engage key decision-makers at all organizational levels.
    • Prepare regular account reports and strategic customer plans to track progress and guide engagement.
    • Act as the primary interface between the customer and Siemens Energy, representing the 'voice of the customer' throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
  • 40% Market Strategy & Business Development
    • Set the strategic direction for the Oil & Gas focus market and develop a multi-year opportunity pipeline.
    • Conduct in-depth market analysis to understand regulations, identify key partners, and evaluate new technologies and business models.
    • Develop and present a convincing Go-to-Market plan to identify and penetrate new markets and customer segments.
    • Build new, collaborative business models in conjunction with customers and internal Siemens Energy Business Areas.
  • 10% Opportunity Development & Sales Collaboration
    • Identify and qualify new business opportunities for Siemens Energy that align with customer goals and portfolio strengths.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and pursue qualified opportunities from identification through to bidding and contract negotiation.
    • Conduct thorough due diligence to filter and prioritize viable potential opportunities for development with the sales team.
    • Ensure compliance with all internal protocols, policies, and guidelines of the integral management system during all commercial activities.

Education

  • University Degree in Engineering, Business, or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the Oil & Gas industry in Mexico.
  • Professional working proficiency in both English and Spanish is required.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 70% of the time.
